Built in 1911 by Pullman as a 12-1 sleeper named “Villa Cheer.” Rebuilt in 1961 along with #1652 to Atomic Energy Commission specifications and used for ten years to haul atomic material in a lead lined concrete vault with security guards. Reassigned in 1971 to L&N then CSX wrecker service, it was received at the Museum in 1993.
