L&N Baggage-Dormitory Car # 1652

Built March 1917 by Pullman as their sleeper “Binstead” for service on the Pennsylvania Railroad. As built, it had twelve sections, one drawing room, and one compartment. Rebuilt in April 1932 to a ten section, three double bedroom sleeper for assignment to “The Crescent.” It was sold to L&N in April, 1961. It now contains the Museums’ office and archives.
